They were very good, though there was a lot of fat on them.

Hi Jan,
You purchased a chicken product with the skin on it. Chickens store fat between the skin and the muscle, so no surprise that there was fat in this product. For a leaner option, consider thigh fillets or, even leaner again, breast fillets.
